Mercina's Encounter--Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, CA 07.03.04
It was kind of a cold and blistery morning. Not too odd for a Prairie summer day. The wind was blowing and at about 11 o'clock, I was sitting with a couple of guys outside the nearby Wal-Mart. The newspaper article said "2 PM" Soon, 2 PM came and went. Finally, at about 4 PM, A parking lot full group of people were standing around. 10 minutes later, I was the first to scream "There they are!" Finally, Amy and Lisa had arrived. I watched with glee as they approached the table with hundreds of screaming fans waiting in line for them. In front of me were the three guys. Up next were Blaze (Lindsay) and I. I walked up to them and said "Hi" They both smiled at me and said hi back to me. Blaze quickly started chatting up a storm with Lisa, but Amy was my focus. I held out my shirt to them and asked them to sign it. They signed it in turn. While Blaze kept chatting with Lisa, I asked Amy to sign a photograph I had taken of my friend Katie a few years back where Blaze and I had dressed her up as a "Lita" look-a-like. Her immediate response was "Wow..." and she signed it and asked me how long it had taken to do it. I asked for a picture with the two of them and they said yes, I walked around the table with shaking legs. While I took a picture of Blaze with the two of them, Amy asked me if I had watched TNA with Jeff and I said that we didn't get TNA (yet!) in Saskatchewan. As I was walking away, I yelled back to Amy "Amy! We'll be front row tonight! I have a sign that says 'Mattitude Needs Litattraction'" and she smiled and said she'd be waiting for it. Later that night at the show, after intermission, I held up my sign when Amy came out and she looked directly at me and smiled. When Matt came out, I flipped over my sign to show "M'Fer Since '99" and Amy strained her neck to read it and I showed it to her and she smiled and shook her head a little. Matt interrupted Amy's little speech and got attacked by some nobody (honestly can't remember who it was) And they left.
