Unique Perspective--Installment 1

OK. Can someone PLEASE explain WWE right now to me? Things
on TV are so confusing. People are going from heel to face with no explanation.
Angles are suddenly being dropped. People are being pushed that shouldn't even
have a job. Even the wrestlers themselves are dropping like flies. Over the
next few weeks in this column I want to address the problems I see show by
show, and in some cases certain divisions. To start off with, I'd like to discuss
the current state of the women's division in WWE (only fitting since this site
is about three divas..LOL)
I feel that there is a lot that can be done in order to improve the division.
The biggest thing is to actually PUSH Victoria! She is so underused its disgusting.
She's easily one of the best women wrestlers today yet we're lucky if we see
her for two seconds a week on RAW. I really worry for Victoria then next time
cuts come around. I dream of the programs she can work with the likes of Trish,
Mickie, and Lita.
Which brings me to my next point. Let Lita wrestle! Can she single handedly
turn the division around? No. But she does have a lot she can offer to it.
There are arguments that she'll be used only to elevate new talent or be jobbed
out to everyone like Victoria. We don't know that anymore than we know she
wont have an impact. We all know what Lita is capable of doing wrestling wise,
and I think she can do a lot more now that she's a heel. There is no reason
why she can't be Edge's valet and still be an integral part in the division.
And just think Lita fans, that'd mean more Lita on TV! I also think that Melina
should be allowed to wrestle more as well. From what I've seen, she's more
than capable of handling herself in a ring. Keeping her solely as Nitro's valet
would be a waste.
Moving some more women to Smackdown would help things out there. All you have
is Jillian, Krystal, Michelle, and Ashley. Jillian and Krystal are coming along
nicely and I see improvements in them every week. From what I saw at the Smackdown
taping's last night....DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED! Michelle
is going to be a valet for a new tag team that debuted. As for Ashley, holy
hell where do I start? I'll say right now that I am not a fan of Ashley by
any means. While she is a nice person out of the ring, she annoys the crap
out of me in one. She just isn't a good wrestler and I'm tired of hearing how
she wants to learn and do this that and the other thing. If you want to learn,
do what Krystal, Michelle, and Maria did..go to OVW and TRAIN! Don't take 'lessons'
from your boyfriend, and don't sit home and watch Molly Holly tapes cause it
won't help you. That much is evident from her matches. She looks so out of
place with the like of the other three on Smackdown.
Another thing that has to be done is end the Diva Search. And if WWE is really
against ending it, don't let the winner wrestle, at least not right away. If
they want to be a credible wrestler than let them train to be one. If they're
worried about her not being on TV, then you can track her progress in OVW or
wherever else each week leading to her debut on RAW. There are ways these things
can be done, they just need to do them and quickly. With rumors that Trish
and possibly Mickie are leaving in September, it needs to be done now before
the division becomes a faint memory in the minds of fans.
Anyway, that's all I really have to say about this for right now. Hopefully
