Unique Perspective--Installment 2

Hello all! Welcome to yet another edition of Unique Perspective. In this edition, I want to discuss something that's been bothering me for quite awhile. So I ask everyone this, can you name me one WWE women's wrestler more underrated than Victoria? Hard isn't it?

The way Victoria has been treated most of her WWE career is disgusting. She's one of the few women left in the company with actual talent, yet we're lucky to see her in a match once a month. And when she does have a match, the likelyhood of it being an actual wrestling macth as oppsed to a stupid gimmick diva thing is slim to none.

My frustration came to a point while the tournament for the womens title was taking place. Victoria loses in the first round to Mickie James. Then, she loses a diva battle royal against Torrie, Maria, and Candice. So, instead of getting what would have been the awesome semi-finals of Mickey, Melina, Victoria, and Lita....four women who can actually WRESTLE...we get the extremely predictable squash match of Maria and Lita.

As I said in my previous column, the womens division is in major trouble. Trish is gone, Lita's leaving, Mickey, IMO, can't carry the division and Beth is still out injured. The remaining diva's, while showing improvements, are mediocre at best. What's the WWE's saving grace in all this? VICTORIA. Say it with me folks.......PUSH VICTORIA! She can revitalize the division and help out some of the other divas. She has the charisma and the talent. She's proven that she can work either heel or face.

So what exactly is WWE's problem? Is it that she's not the blonde barbie type? Or that she's got some muscle to her instead of 20 pounds of silicone? This is literally something that boggles my mind. I honestly fear that when WWE decides to do thier next 'spring cleaning' she'll be put on the chopping block...cause let's face facts...most WWE divas that can actually wrestle but dont fit the barbie mold are. Look at the past track record: Ivory, Molly Holly, Jacquline, Jazz, Gail Kim. All women who could wrestle and didn't have to show thier boobs off every second to prove it. I hope I'm wrong and WWE finally starts to give Victoria the credit she deserves. Think of it....Lita drops the belt to Mickey at Survivor Series...then fueds with heel Victoria. That, ladies and gentlemen, would be a little slice of heaven.
